After matching on a dating app called Bumble, we started texting and immediately had so much in common. Both of us are dog owners, both went to IU, both lived in Carmel at the time; that we knew we had to meet in person. Jordan planned the first date at Upland (which was so perfect for these two Hoosier grads) and we spent the night talking for hours. After a great night, Jordan walked Audrey to her car and went in for the first kiss...what can we say? The rest is history.
After dating for awhile (4 years to be exact) Jordan suggested that one weekend we go to Michigan for the weekend. Audrey, at this point, had thought the proposal might come several times previously, so she didn't think anything of the impromptu weekend getaway. Jordan had everything planned perfectly but one major obstacle stood in his way...the weather. It was supposed to rain all weekend in South Haven and his plan was to propose Saturday evening. After a nice dinner on Friday, the rain stopped and it turned into a beautiful evening. Jordan knew he had to pull an audible and propose that night. He then suggested they go on a walk to watch the sunset at the end of the pier. As they got towards the end, Jordan had Audrey look out at the skyline and then got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together. Of course she immediately said yes!
