This is probably the coolest museum you will ever go to! It is more like a playground (for adults and kids alike) housed in an old shoe factory and created from found urban and industrial objects - hence the "city" museum. Famous for their burgers, this restaurant in the Delmar Loop is decked out from floor to ceiling in '60s memorabilia. Play the pinball games while you wait for your food to come out! (And try the fried mushrooms!) Hours: Mon–Sat: 11am–1:30am, Sun: 11am–midnight

Another great restaurant located in the Delmar Loop, Fitz's is famous for it's root beer. The root beer floats are great, too! What's really cool about this restaurant is that it's attached to the bottling plant, which is viewable from the restaurant and usually runs from noon until 7PM. Hours: Monday-Thursday: 11AM-9PM, Friday and Saturday: 11AM-10PM, Sunday: 11AM-3PM.
This beautiful Catholic cathedral is known for its large mosaic installation (one of the largest in the Western Hemisphere). It's also a close walk to the Central West End, which is filled with restaurants! The Cathedral Basilica is open from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Guided tours are available during weekdays between 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Contact the tour office at 314-373-8241 for tour reservations. Daily Masses are celebrated Monday- Friday at 7:00 am, 8:00 am, and 12:05 pm and Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Sunday Masses are celebrated at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. with a vigil Mass at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. They do ask that visitors who are not participating in Mass wait to visit the Cathedral Basilica until the completion of daily Mass.
Urban Chestnut is a local brewery and beer garden. If you want a casual night out, this is a great place to go. Try the Schnickelfritz beer with a warm pretzel! Midtown location hours: Monday 11am – 10pm, Tuesday through Thursday 11am – 11pm, Friday & Saturday 11am – 1am, Sunday 12pm – 7pm. Food is served until 1 hour prior to closing time at both locations.
This farmer's market has deep roots dating back to 1779 when it was just a flat meadow where farmers would sell their goods. Today it is still a great place to find local produce. Hours: It's closed Sunday through Tuesday, but it is open Wednesday 8 am - 5 pm, Thursday 8 am - 5 pm, Friday 7 am - 5 pm, and Saturday 7 am - 5:30 pm. Saturday is the best and busiest day to shop!
You've got to try Imo's pizza while you are here, even if it's only for the experience. Hailed by Audrey's Grandma Paulin as "the worst pizza she's ever eaten," this square-sliced pizza is beloved by St. Louisans. They also sell toasted ravioli, which you also have to try while you are in town! Extra points if you order the deep-fried provel bites.
The Arch is open daily from 8:00am–10:00pm. The grounds have recently been remodeled, making it a beautiful place to take a stroll. There' s a museum (about the Arch and the Westward Expansion), a tram that you can take to the top of the arch (buy tickets first!), and near the grounds is the Old Courthouse (open daily 8am-4:30pm). You can also walk down to the river, where there is an old riverboat that sells food. Parking can be tight. Be prepared to pay for a spot, though you may get lucky down by the river! Riverboat cruises also run from time to time, but you will want to buy a ticket beforehand.
The Anheuser-Busch brewery is one of the largest and oldest breweries in the nation. The architecture is beautiful and the tour offers you the chance to learn about the brewery process AND to see the famous Clydesdale horses. There are many different tours available and it is best to reserve your spot ahead of time. The general tour only costs $5! Hours: First Tour 9:00 am - Last Tour 5:30 pm
