Conor and I met while in high school. All four years of school we had never spoken a word to one an other. Our first encounter was interesting to say the least. We met at a small party with a few of our friends. Our “ “conversation” ( if that’s what you want to call it) lasted no longer than 4.2 seconds. Of course we assumed that nothing would come of it. The next day I receive a life changing message from him asking to go on a date. We both were a little skeptical going into this simply because we thought we were 100% different on every level. Our first date was exceptionally awkward. We could of broken a world record in awkwardness. I was extremely nervous but the poor guy was even worse. Our entire date consisted of two very small random conversations. We both froze up and apparently forgot how to speak. After that again, we thought nothing would come of this. The second part of our date changed everything. After dinner he wanted to take me to his little brother’s lacrosse game. In retrospect this was the perfect way to end a date. The weather was cold and windy, which forced us to get close and cozy up with one an other. That’s when we finally both relaxed and started to get to know each other. After that night we both started to realize how similar we were in almost every way. After only a few months Conor announced his love for me. I on the other hand took longer to get on the same page. If it wasn’t for him being so patient and consistently trying and TRYING AGAIN, our story wouldn’t of happened. Now almost 9 years later, still every single day we grow stronger and more in love. We are truly each other’s soulmate, best friend, partner and protector. It may sound cliche but our love story will stand the test of time. We both can not wait to call each other HUSBAND & WIFE. ♥️
