Ironically, Cole and I met for the first time on April Fools’ Day 2023. Although this was our first time to meet each other, our story really began long before that day. I had been friends with Cole’s cousin and her family since my early college days. Over the years when I was at their house, I was shown pictures of Cole and heard all about what a great guy he was! This went on for about 8 years, but since I lived in Tyler, and he lived in Houston, our paths never actually crossed. While I had no objection to the idea of meeting Cole, I also thought it had become a bit of a joke. However, it was not a joke! Cole and I finally met at his cousin Allyson’s wedding. By this point the whole family was in on the scheme to get the two of us together. It might be said that it was a group effort or an invisible string that brought us together, but it was truly God’s plan and perfect timing. On New Year’s Day 2025 while star gazing in Big Bend National Park, I spotted a shooting star and said “look a shooting star! Make a wish!” Cole pulled out a ring and said “alright I wish you would marry me.” In March of 2025 Cole and I got married in a small ceremony with only our parents in attendance. As each of you have played a special and important role in our lives, we want to share the celebration and commitment of our marriage with you also. We hope to see you at our wedding celebration in September! With Love, Audrey and Cole
