The dress code is formal. Formal weddings are great because the dress code is fancy (it's fun to get dressed up) but flexible. Men can wear a tuxedo, but they don't have to—a dark suit and tie are also appropriate. Formal dresses to wear to a wedding include both evening gowns and elegant midi length dresses, so pick the hemline you feel best in. Please note that (weather permitting) our cocktail hour is on grass. We encourage you to wear whatever footwear you find agreeable. If you're still at loss, think: elevated garden party. Hot. August in Tennessee is hot and humid. Luckily this will be an evening wedding so you will not be exposed to overhead sun. That being said, we want you to be comfortable! Fans and sun umbrellas will be provided, as well as plenty of hydration.
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Cheekwood, with limited time in between, so dress accordingly!
Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors. We are planning on having the reception dinner inside the mansion, with dancing on the back patio.
We will be having an unplugged ceremony at our wedding. While we fully encourage everyone to bring their phones and cameras to document the day (plus your awesome outfit and fabulous dance moves), we politely request that all devices be turned off during the ceremony. This will be strictly enforced. Once we receive the professional images from our photographer after the wedding, we will be happy to send them to you!
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures on the grounds for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reflection pool where we will be serving finger foods and passed beverages.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Yes! We have arranged for transportation from the Hilton Green Hills Hotel directly to the venue and back.
Although we are not providing breakfast, the Hilton Green Hills does have a breakfast option for ~$20/pp in their Harth Restaurant. There are also plenty of breakfast options in the area.
