Audrey was out to dinner with her girlfriends celebrating her birthday when one of her friends, Ella Grace Cornpropst, got up to say hello to a friend. Audrey saw the two of them chatting and decided to go up and see what the fuss was about. She soon found out the friend Ella Grace was talking to was none other than Isaac! Ella Grace had been plotting to get the two together, so they talked for a while, then went back to their friends. Later that same evening, Audrey and Ella Grace decided they wanted to go dancing, so before leaving, Audrey walked over to the table Isaac and his friends were sitting at. Audrey held out her hand for Isaac, he took it, and they were off! From that night, they were practically inseparable, and three and a half weeks later, May 8, 2023, Isaac officially asked Audrey to be his girlfriend while she was helping him pack up his dorm room to leave for the summer, equipped with a small vase of beautiful flowers.
It all started about 3 months into our relationship when I, Isaac, knew I was going to marry this girl. It wasn’t until the following summer that I decided to put my mind to it; I talked to my parents before I left for my summer internship, and I sat them down to tell them how I wanted to marry Audrey. They told me all that I needed to do, and I got started! I worked that summer to save up for the ring, and when my internship ended I had a week of downtime before school started back. That week my mom and I went to Jewelmasters to design the ring. We designed it to exactly what she wanted, Audrey had sent me hundreds of ideas by this point. After school started back, I had to try very hard to keep my mouth shut! Around October, Audrey and I decided to make a trip to Memphis for the weekend. I had Audrey take Rosey to a friend's house while I 'went to play golf with a friend'. Instead of playing golf, I stayed back and sat down with Russ and Julie to ask for their blessing to marry Audrey. As you can see from all of this, they said yes! From that point on I really started to plan. By November I had found multiple potential photographers. In January, I secured a dinner reservation at Fleming's in Sandestin, FL. I told all of her friends who would be there so they could help set up the party for whenever we got back. Everything was in place! Our trip to Florida finally came around, and I was so nervous. I was constantly checking the weather the days prior, trying to see what outfit would be best, and making sure my face is freshly shaved and I looked my best. The day of, I was running off no food, around 3 hours of sleep, and a pile of nerves. Somehow the time finally came, and we left for dinner. We were the only ones there; we both ordered steaks and an appetizer, that was so good we could have eaten it by itself! We then left for the beach for what Audrey thought was 'pictures with our friends'. After getting to our parking place, she began texting and calling her friends asking where they were, and she was told they were running a little behind but that they'd be there soon. While that is happening, I am trying to convince her to go down to the beach to just walk around. She wasn't having it though, she complained that, by the time our friends arrived, her hair would be too messed up for pictures, but somehow I managed to drag her out of the truck. On the way down to the beach, I spotted the photographer, so I was able to guide her into the right spot. Then, I turned her towards me and said these words, “Audrey…I love you so much. You are the light to the darkest parts of my heart. Every time I look at you the world stands still. I want you to know that you are the one thing I care for the most. You are the love of my life. You are my everything…" I slowly got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and said, "Audrey Nicole Dallas… Will you marry me?” She immediately replied, “YES!”
