This is one of our favorite restaurants! We discovered it one night when Jay asked Audrey what she was in the mood for and she said "Asian tacos." We highly recommend the Korean popcorn chicken and the truffle mac & cheese.
One of our favorite (and most reasonably priced) Omakases in the city! We have tried almost every omakase in a 10 block radius of our apartment so you can trust us.
We split the cubano roughly once a week and that's not enough! Great spot for a sandwich and a wander through the park.
Yes, Audrey used to go to S'mac for lunch in high school and now she drags Jay there at lease once a month for mac and cheese - some things never get old!
One day, we plan to become true regulars at our neighborhood wine bar but we'll settle for being that couple who comes in with their dog every now and then for now.
The site of Jay and Audrey's second date and many dates after. We ordered the hot dog (because how could you not) and still think that was a weird choice for a wine bar.
Perfect for a Mexican lunch that you can eat in Washington Square Park - extra points if you have a little dog that demands your attention while trying to eat a quesadilla.
We are here so often that Bagel automatically turns in when we pass it on a walk. You might even run into Alec Baldwin!
If you’re looking for a classic NYC diner near the Washington Square Hotel, this is your place!
Though we hope you can join us for goodbye breakfast, we get if you have to run! But you can’t come to New York without having a real bagel - Audrey never gets on a plane without one. Ask for “what’s hot” and your favorite schmeer.
There’s usually a line so we like to go when it rains since only the hardcore fans go out in the rain - and yes we have Pavlov’d ourselves. Delicious, fresh sushi hand rolls served one at a time to you at the counter.
If it’s above 90 degrees - you can find Audrey dragging Jay to Ralph’s or a Mr. Softee. We highly recommend Ralph’s but if it’s too far a walk, grab a Mr. Softee (but make sure you get the real truck - no New York Ice Cream BS).
Okay in all honesty, we’ve never been to the wine bar portion of this place but we do love their hot chocolate. October weather, ya never know!
Home to Audrey's adult Bat Mitzvah party, a neighborhood favorite with really good creamed spinach. Audrey grew up getting the chocolate souffle but recently transitioned to the skillet cookie - highly recommend getting both and doing a taste test!
