Audra and Braeden's story begins in 2020... They attended the same high school, but things took off when they started serving at church together. Audra was just a freshman, but she had her eyes set on an upperclassman; luckily for her, Braeden thought she had a great heart and a great smile. Months went on, and they became familiar with one another, attending their church's youthgroup every Wednesday and serving together every Sunday. Right before the pandemic hit, Audra asked Braeden at youth group if he wanted to play Game Pigeon over text (aka indirectly asked for his number). You wouldn't believe the look on Audra's face when she got the first notification from him. The pandemic tried to keep them apart, but their connection was too strong. After 3 months of Facetiming and texting, they finally went on their first date at Heritage Park! Ever since the first date, both of them knew it was something special. As is often the case, challenges came, but God continued to refine them through their five years of dating. After a lot of prayer (and quite a few dates), Braeden got down on one knee and surprised Audra by proposing on the day of a home football game - one she thought he would be attending! The engagement season has been a huge blessing, and it has been beautiful for them to look back and reflect on God's faithfulness since the pandemic. Braeden and Audra are so excited to enter into the covenant of marriage and encourage one another to become more like Christ together as husband and wife!
