I'd just moved to Memphis from Starkville for my first post-graduation job. We met at a New Year's Eve gathering at Austin's house on Dec. 31, 2021. It was a blatant setup by a coworker, and when I arrived Austin wasn't there yet. I got a little nervous that I was being stood up. He was with his best friends, Cameron and Ridge. Now, knowing the three of them and how close they are, I am so glad he was able to tear himself away to come meet me! We talked for hours and hours that night, and he might have been a little scared by how thoroughly I vetted him. Austin came into my life when I was lonely in a city I didn't know. We became inseparable in a short period. He has introduced me to some of my favorite people as well as been the best dog dad to our sweet girl, Moxie. I've absorbed his friends, and he mine. Our families have melded, and we can't wait to be MARRIED!
