How we Met

3.2.2024

We met through a dating app, by the fate of the universe. Andrew had been away at bootcamp for months and had just returned home for only a month or so before he headed off to his permanent duty station in Killeen, TX. Bailey was tired of the dating apps but wanted to give it another go, trying to find “the one.” We started talking, and after deciding neither one of us were serial killers, decided to meet in person. Only to find out we were living 2 streets away from each other! Our whole lives we’ve been so close to each other, and never knew it. We met by going on a walk in the green space in our neighborhood and talking for a couple hours. We followed up quickly with our first official date and since then, have been inseparable. And finally, they had each found the one!

The Proposal

10.29.2024

Shortly into their new relationship, Andrew had to leave to serve in a 9 month deployment overseas. While gone, Andrew got to spend a month in Germany and knew he wanted to propose before he returned home from his deployment. We organized a trip for her to visit him in Germany, very last minute, and he knew he was ready. He had already bought the ring and asked for her parents’ permission. On our first full day there together, we got to the top the Nanstein Castle, an 800 year old castle overlooking the town we were staying in, and he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! 🤍 And hey, waiting to propose for seven months is kind of a long time for a military couple!
