We kindly ask that you RSVP by the first week of September.
The ceremony and reception will be outdoors on grassy terrain (weather permitting), so please dress formally but comfortably. For ladies think elegant long dresses with a pop of color encouraged. For men dress pants with jackets and button-down shirts are perfect with ties and bowties optional. Feel free to express your personal style while keeping the outdoor setting and terrain in mind, but please keep things on the formal side. And just a friendly reminder to avoid wearing white. (Note that the Bridesmaids will be wearing light blue)
In the Lowcountry, fall temperatures typically range from the mid to low 70s during the day. Evenings can feel cooler depending on humidity. We recommend wearing breathable fabrics and bringing a light layer such as a wrap, shawl or lightweight jacket to stay comfortable during the evening. A bonfire will be part of the reception, which may provide enough warmth in the evening without the need for extra layers. **a note you already may know, in the South, temperatures around 70°F can often feel warmer than expected, so it’s usually easier to start with layers you can remove rather than adding on later.
Guests can park at the Golf House, which is directly beside the ceremony site. After the ceremony, vehicles can be relocated to the reception venue, where parking is also available. Attendants will be present to assist with directions and guide anyone needing help finding the Golf House or Bonny Shores Gazebo.
A guest list will be provided to the gate attendants, including the names of all guests who have RSVP’d. Simply provide your name (and the names of any guests in your party) upon arrival to gain access to the island. Gate attendees can provide additional directions if needed.
Due to island restrictions and our overall goal to keep the event intimate, we ask that only guests listed on the invitations attend. Unfortunately, additional guests are not accommodated beyond those who were sent an RSVP.
