We swiped right! Yes, we met on Tinder (a dating app), after I made fun of him for wearing a pink tiara in one of his profile photos. We set up a FaceTime date on a Sunday; we each thought it would only be a short 30 minute conversation, but we talked for 3 hours! Two days later, we met in person and had a perfect little waterfront lunch date in Kirkland, WA. Three days after our first date, we said our first "I love you"s and from then on, we were inseparable, traveling two hours to visit each other for the next two months. We met in May, met each other's parents in July, and moved together from Seattle to Houston in August- what a whirlwind!
After spending a beautiful sunny day out on Brad's parents' boat, we docked at the marina, cleaned up, and got ready for a fish fry (my favorite!). Brad took me out on the front of the boat to sit and watch the sunset. Our song started playing, he asked me to dance, and after a line in the song "If I could be the name that changes yours" he got down on one knee and proposed! I was a complete mess of happy tears the rest of the evening. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you on the beach!
