We met in the least romantic way possible, we were both special education teachers who worked together teaching kids with autism. Aubriann was David’s mentor teacher and part of the interview team that hired him back in 2018. We loved working together and spending time outside of the classroom, going to karaoke, themed house parties, and hanging out with our best friends from work. We did this for three years until we had the idea to go on a group camping trip, and for some reason, we didn’t invite anyone else. It was the best idea we have ever had together. After that weekend at Hickey Gap Campground, we both ended the trip knowing we would end up saying “I do”.
