It all started when my parent's, who are called to a YSA ward, came home from church one Sunday to share the good news - twin boys who were 6'5" (a relevant fact for obvious reasons #tallgirlproblems) had moved into their ward. One thing led to another.. & within minutes my friend & I found & thoroughly stalked these boys on social media. Don't judge... it's the way of the times! We decided they were cute and she jokingly she called dibs on one twin, and I said "... alright, I guess I'll take the other one!" Several Weeks Later: I returned from a weekend trip conveniently just in time to attend a YSA pot luck. I sat with my parents, as settled in to be contently & completely anti-social - but alas, my sweet Father had other ideas. He insisted that I come to meet one of the twins & invite them to play volleyball with my friends the following week... "Why can't you just tell him? It's Wednesday at 8pm. Ba-boom. Done" But nope.. He walked across the room to the boy's table & waved me over too.. at this point I couldn't just ignore him, so I got up & introduced myself. He was even better looking than in his photos, a true gentleman, and SO tall - Check, check, check! He came to volleyball.. and GUESS WHAT?! Didn't talk to me.. (later he told me that he was nervous). But luckily, I'm persistent & we ended up seeing each other on several occasions over the following weeks. Between volleyball, haunted houses, dances, & autumn festivities, I was thoroughly smitten. He was the most kind, respectful, goofy, & handsome man that I had ever met. Our first date took us to Thai food & axe throwing, & it's only gone uphill from there! He later shared that after I left their table at the pot luck, his friend said "You know that's the prettiest girl in this room right? You have to date her". He responded, "Yeah, I know!" Well he did folks, & took it a step further! We're getting married! & I luckily I got stuck with dibs on the "other" twin. Lucky me!
