The proposal was planned by Trystan to be a reminder of their first date along with some of Aubrey's favorite things. The day started with them going to Dutch Bros (Aubrey's favorite form of caffeine) and then getting brunch at the Snooze restaurant. It is not a perfect day for Aubrey without an afternoon nap for her so they went back to Trystan's house where he watched a movie while Aubrey snoozed after the Snooze. The afternoon continued with Aubrey being told to dress nicely as the surprise of the engagement was most likely ruined. They left to eat dinner at the same place they went on their first date which was Fogo de Chao (Brazilian Steakhouse). It was an earlier dinner and they were brought some wonderful different cuts of steak. They left the restaurant around 6 PM in order to finish the night going on a drive that Aubrey used to make all the time in order to relax and unwind. The drive was through the mountains with lots of scenic views and the sun setting in front of them. Trystan timed the day to make this favorite drive of Aubrey's and finish the drive near a park that was off that route. It was almost sunset when they arrived at the park and Aubrey's best friend was waiting there with a camera to take pictures of the moment. Trystan brought Aubrey to this meadow with a flowing river and brought her close. He said that one of his favorite things about their relationship was the foundation of faith they had together in Jesus Christ, he then pulled out his phone and read the Bible verse 1 John 4:19. After he read that, he prayed for them together in that moment and got on one knee and proposed to Aubrey (where she obviously said yes)!
