Yes! The church is a beautiful and traditional Russian Orthodox Christian Church and as such is NOT built with pews. There are however, some fold down seats around the outer edges but these are limited. Please keep this in mind when deciding on attire. For more information and pictures please visit https://www.holyvirginprotectionchurch.org/ to view the Church.
No. Because of the unique and beautiful area the wedding is in, we wanted to give traveling guests the opportunity to explore freely during their time visiting. Rockland county and the surrounding area is rich in American Revolutionary sites and other historic locations, beautiful scenic views, and 20 to 30 minutes from NYC.
There are no blocked rooms as we wanted to give guests the opportunity to explore the area and understand that budgets vary for all. As such there is also no transportation to and from the venue. The ceremony and reception are located at the same address for convenience.
Yes! Parking is available at the Church and in the immediate area. The majority will be street parking so plan accordingly. We do encourage ride services or taxis if you plan on drinking at the reception, safety first!
The Hall or Zal, is immediately adjacent to the Church. With only a few short steps you will be in the party zone!
We are serving hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour, BBQ for dinner, and a mix of desserts. Please let us know if you have any food or dietary concerns that we need to tell our caterer about. Non-alcoholic options, beer, and wine will be provided but please feel free to bring anything you wish to have for your self or share with the table.
We love your little ones, we really do! However, with exception of the bridal party, both the ceremony and the reception will be an adults-only celebration in hopes this gives parents the chance to let their hair down and enjoy a night off! Feel free to reach out to us if you need local recommendations for childcare.
