Matt and Aubrey first met in 2013 through mutual friends in downtown Ann Arbor, and began dating in April 2014. Over the next few years they travelled, started their careers, and spent time with family and friends. In August 2019, Matt and Aubrey purchased their first house together, and to Aubrey's surprise, Matt proposed on the front steps moments after arriving to their new home. They began wedding planning for a fall 2020 wedding, however 2020 had plans of its own. In April of 2020 they decided to postpone their wedding to the following spring, and adopt Roshe, an adorable and sometimes overly friendly Siberian husky puppy. Now, after several wedding dates, two venues, two caterers, and enough wedding planning to last a lifetime, they look forward to starting their forever on May 22, 2021.
