We’re getting hitched!

It all started on a beautiful August day on the lake with Aubrey's girlfriends. Friends of ours were away in Old Forge for a golf tournament, so Aubrey and her friends decided to go crash the party! We were at Daikers for some drinks and to watch Showtime! Aubrey was standing outside on the deck when Lee walked up to her and asked her to dance. We were inseperable for the rest of the night, hanging out and talking the evening away. We walked back to the hotel together where Lee had to break up a fight (thanks, Bob! ) and Aubrey ran away, never to be seen again...until morning, that is, when she asked if she could use their bathroom to brush her teeth. We stood next to each other and brushed our teeth together for the first time, then Aubrey climbed in the car and left. Two weeks later, Lee finally found Aubrey on facebook and we started our love story together! We are forever thankful for that wild night in August. As some of our friends say, Lee never left the Golf Tournament!

We went for a hike to OK Slip Falls in May. As many of you know, spring in the Adirondacks are filled with a ton of bugs! We took the drive and got to our parking spot...where we were swarmed with bugs. We met a nice couple who let us use their bug spray, and away we went. It was a pretty brisk walk for us, due to bugs. After about 30 mins or so of a constant trot , we were sweating and almost to our destination. Did we mention the amount of bugs? We get to the top of the highest falls in the Adirondacks and Lee stops mid track, turns around and says to her “I have to ask you something!” Aubrey instantly rolled her eyes, and said "what?!" In her most attitude self (hehe- hey just wanted to see the view!) So as Aubrey is swatting bugs away, sweating, Lee asks if Aubrey will marry him. She laughed and swatted him away too - only for him to say "I’m Serious" and opens a beautiful box with the ring. We hung out at the top for a few and took in the beautiful view of the Falls and our future together! All while swatting bugs away!
