Our first date was on Sunday, March 19th 2023 at Second Nature, Landen’s favorite breakfast spot in San Diego. What started as breakfast turned into an entire day together, continuing through dinner and ending with Aubrey dropping Landen at the airport for his flight back to school in Boston. Two weeks later, Landen told Aubrey he loved her, added her to his Costco membership, and confidently announced that he was going to marry her someday. Aubrey, who at the time had very strong beliefs that she was never going to get married, completely disagreed. Landen told her he would change her mind within three months. Months later, while sitting on the steps below the Piazzale Michelangelo in Italy, Aubrey told Landen that of course she would marry him. It happened almost exactly three months after Landen told her he would change her mind - something he still never lets her forget. Two years later, on June 12th 2025, Landen proposed on those very same steps in Florence. He then surprised her with their families waiting nearby to celebrate together in Italy for the following week. From the very beginning, Aubrey and Landen bonded over their shared love of travel. When they visited Mallorca for the first time, they immediately fell in love with the island and knew it was where they wanted to celebrate this next chapter with all of their favorite people.
