As Aubrey and I discussed our marriage, both fervently agreed we wanted something intimate. We were not sure how we’d pull that off as when we started planning, we had a list of over 150 prospective guests. Names of incredible people, who touched our lives deeply in many ways, and brough us to each other. How do you choose who gets to celebrate, and who doesn’t? Oh, the woes of wedding planning. One late night- when I should have been sleeping- an idea sprouted. What if we had a surprise elopement? Let’s gather our closest family. Let’s not tell anyone. Let’s get married. We did everything backwards anyways (with love Andy Jess). Who would really care if we just did this our own way too? Commence the wedding plotting. On February 7, 2025, we gathered our immediate families under the guise of family photos and- SURPRISE! We eloped. We shared joy and breakfast in the sweet Magnolia Café in the heart of downtown Palatka and celebrated our way. A few frills, a little family, and a lot of love. Aubrey and I hope that every person on our original guest list knows that they are deeply appreciated and connected to our growth as a family. We love you all and we hope you know that our untraditional marriage was what was the least stressful and most fun for our family. Lots of love, The NEW Ragsdale- Walker Fam 😊
