There are numerous airports that you can fly into and then travel the remaining miles by car or shuttle: Telluride Regional Airport (TEX): 15 minute drive Montrose-Telluride Regional Airport (MTJ): 1.25 hour drive Cortez, Colorado (CEZ): 1.5 hour drive Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT): 2.5 hour drive Durango-La Plata Regional Airport (DRO): 2.5 hour drive Gunnison, CO (GUC): 2.5 hour drive Moab, Utah (CNY): 2.75 hour drive Albuquerque, NM (ABQ): 5.5 hour drive Denver, CO (DEN): 6 hour drive Telluride Express offers shuttles from TEX, MJT, CEZ, GJT and DRO airports.
Travel Note
Getting around Telluride is a breeze once you're here. You can take the free Gondola from Mountain Village to downtown. Our reception venue is only accessible via car, so we highly renting one for your stay.
Flight
If you are looking to spend less time on the road and if convenience is important to you, flying into Telluride is an option worth looking into. Flights are significantly more expensive than surrounding airports; however, it’s only 15 minutes from town.
Flight
The Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is the primary airport for Telluride, a scenic 65 miles, or an hour + drive away. Rental cars are available at the Montrose Airport, as well as a number of shuttle and rental car services to/from Telluride. The Telluride Express shuttle from Montrose to downtown Telluride/Mountain Village is $58.
Flight
The Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) is another commonly used airport for Telluride. It’s about a 2.5 hour drive away. Rental cars are available at the Grand Junction Airport, and you can also arrange a shuttle pickup through Telluride Express.

Telluride has tons of houses and condos at different sizes and price points for rent. We recommend using AirBnB for booking.
