All, We made the tough decision to cancel our wedding scheduled for November in New York due to COVID. We were holding out hope that the COVID situation would improve and we would able to have our planned wedding in some capacity as scheduled. However, we’ve come to the conclusion for the safety of our guests, that it is best to call off that gathering right now. Due to the current peak and the strict New York travel bans/laws, we think it would be too risky to continue to plan. We also know the majority of our guest would have to travel to attend and we don’t want to put our family, friends, and loved ones at risk. We are currently reviewing our options to still get married this year. We are very bummed that we can’t spend our special day with you all. Once there is no more risk/threat of COVID, we’re looking into throwing a marriage celebration party so we can celebrate with you. We hope you all stay safe! Aubrey and Jake
Aubrey and Jake met on a plane on Nov 25, 2015. They were both traveling from Houston to Detroit to visit family for Thanksgiving. Luckily, they started a conversation that lasted the entire plane ride talking about careers, hobbies, and travel. They exchanged numbers at the end of the flight. Jake reached out the next day to wish Aubrey a Happy Thanksgiving. And they have talked every day since.
Aubrey and Jake have lived between 1 to 5 hours apart from each other for the first 3.5 years of their relationship. They finally closed that distance July 2019 and now live near Rochester, NY. Since they have been together, they have lived in Texas, North Carolina, and multiple cities in New York. They both share a love for travel and outdoor activities.
