Our story begins in the fall of 2024, when Gunnar finally asked Aubrey on a date. Although we had learned about each other through a mutual friend, we didn’t officially meet until a couple of months later. Little did we know that our first date would set the tone for everything to come. Just feet away from where we were sitting, a proposal happened. Aubrey couldn’t help but think “This has to be a sign, right?” From that moment on, our relationship began to bloom. We continued going on fun dates, spending time together, and feeling God gently at work in our lives—drawing us closer, strengthening our faith, and teaching us what it truly means to love one another. On October 4, 2025, Gunnar asked Aubrey to spend forever with him. On that day, we read Ruth 1:16–17, a promise to walk together wherever life leads, with God at the center and nothing but death able to separate us. Our story is only just beginning, but it is already one of faith, perfect timing, and a love guided by God.
