In 2024 Gavin and Aubrey’s mutual friends reached out to each of them individually asking if they would want to go on a date with eachother. Nothing came of it. They both attended these mutual friends wedding, and were at the same place at the same time and didn’t know eachother. Almost a year later in 2024 their friends reached out again asking if they would want to go on a date. Gavin and Aubrey said sure to their friends. The weeks leading up to this date they called on the phone and would talk for hours, wanting to get to know eachother better. Along came the weekend of their date. Aubrey drove down from Logan to Payson, and Gavin driving from Lehi to Payson. After the date they stayed up for hours into the night talking on the curb next to Gavin car. Lots of laughing and understanding eachother. They were able to be vulnerable with eachother and make connections, while also having some awkward moments. Once 3 am rolled around they decided they should call it and get some sleep. Before leaving, Gavin asked Aubrey if she would want to go on a second date with him. She said she would. A second date turned into a third and so on. They dating for months going back and forth from Logan to Lehi on weekends to see eachother until Aubrey decided to move closer to Gavin. Since then their story continues on every day filled with, joy, love and excitement for their future together.

On a calm fall afternoon in early November Gavin was planning a special surprise for his girlfriend Aubrey. He had everything planned down to the last detail (or at least he thought he did). The plan was to take her to visit the wedding venue and after go back to her grandma’s house where in the backyard a blanket, pillows, and photos had been set up to use for the proposal spot but unknown to him, Aubrey had a hunch of what was going on. She thought he was going to propose to her at the wedding venue but when it didn’t happen it threw her for a loop but as soon as she walked into the backyard of her grandma’s house after her dad had hinted that she do it there was Gavin standing on the blanket and she knew exactly what was going on and of course tears ensued as the romantic scene unfolded when he got down on one knee and said those words. And from that one beautiful fall day in 2025 marked the start of the rest of their lives togethers
