River Market
Do NOT miss the Saturday Market! Grab some fresh flowers, a trinket from a local artisan, a coffee, some spices, and a bite from The Bite sandwich shop. We love the multi-level River Market Antiques shop. Also, take a stroll on the levee trail by the river. And if you are interested in the history of trade along the Missouri River, stop into the Arabia Steamboat Museum.
Crossroads
A hipster hotspot with so many wonderful shops, galleries, and restaurants. We love Jack Stack BBQ, Lydia's Italian Restaurant, and Grinders. At night, check out Up Down Arcade Bar, Toms Town Distilling, Taps on Main (formerly Ruins Pub, where we met!), and Green Lady Lounge for two stories of live Jazz music.
Q39 - Midtown

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
Some of the galleries are free and the lawn is perfect for picnics. Pro tip: check out the Steven Holl designed addition at night to witness its glow.
Old Westport
A ton of delicious dining and fun shopping spots here! Check out Harry's Westport or Westport Ale House day or night! If you are into live music, check out what shows are playing at Kelly's Westport Inn or Riot Room.
Up-Down KC
A favorite arcade bar stop in the Crossroads Arts District.
Country Club Plaza
For some upscale shopping and dining, check out the Plaza! We like to window shop here :) Check out Charlie Hustle, Made in KC, and Amy's Hallmark Shop. O'Dowd's Irish bar is a favorite bar stop at night.
Power and Light District
If you are looking for some mainstream bar hopping, this is the spot! Pop into a large selection of bars, clubs, and restaurants, and maybe they'll have something going on in the courtyard. Be sure to check out the country bar, PBR Big Sky, and ride the bull! Yeeee-haaawwww!

Formerly Ruins Pub, this pour-your-own beer bar is where we met!
Boulevard Brewing Tours & Recreation Center
One of our favorite places to visit for the BEER and atmosphere. Book a tour or just check out the bar and gift shop. Our favorite beer is the Tank 7, but plan your ride/assign a DD accordingly because it's strong!
