Between group gathering restrictions, social distancing guidelines and discouraged travel, we are now left with the task of having to face new realities with our wedding moving forward. Please check this website for updates and important information! We have added information in the FAQ section to guide you better but see below for an update on the safety precautions we are putting in place with our venue. Keeping our guest safe and feeling comfortable is a top priority for us! - Our wedding venue is operating at 50% capacity. - Tables will be smaller in size. - We will try to sit guest with other guest who they have been in contact with. - Upon arrival you will need to wear a mask or grab a disposable one we will provide at the entrance. - During the ceremony we ask that all guest wear their mask. - Once up in the reception space mask will not be required since we will all be eating and drinking! - Hand sanitation stations will be placed throughout the venue. We know this is a scary and tough time for many, if you do not feel comfortable attending we understand completely! We are excited for our big day and hope to celebrate with all whether in person or in spirit. Sending everyone well wishes! If you have any other questions do not hesitate to reach out. All of our love, Aubrey + Davis
Our love story started how any typical 21st century relationship starts - with a swipe of our fingers. We both found ourselves on a dating app called Bumble. To match you have to swipe left on the people that interest you. Maybe it was Davis’s cute dimples, glassy blue eyes or his southern charm but his profile called out to me and I swiped left, revealing we were a match. I reached out to Davis and the connection was instant. A little less than a week later Davis asked me out on our first date. He picked me up at my apartment in Dallas and the plan was to eat dinner at Happiest Hour. When Davis pulled up in his truck I hopped in, and apparently, I made him so nervous that he turned the wrong way on a one-way street into oncoming traffic. After some screaming and screeching tires we were on our way! Davis says it was my beauty and nerves that distracted him that first night. The rest of the date we spent finding out that we had many common interests and realized this may be the start of something good! I guess our first date was just a glimpse of the road to come and our ability to navigate through some of life’s obstacles together. We’re excited to stand by each other through the wrong ways, stop signs and embrace every turn.
In September we traveled to Seattle for a vacation. On our second day we found ourselves in Woodinville, WA, where we indulged in wine tastings throughout the day. We even took a wine making class, learning how to make our very own red blend at Chateau St Michelle. After we bottled our new wine mixes, we headed back to our downtown Seattle hotel. Once nestled back in our room, Davis totally surprised me by getting down on one knee. He had carried the ring all day in his vest pocket, and was searching for that right moment to pop the question which never quite came on the wine tour. Since we were amongst strangers on the tour, he decided to wait for a more private moment, when just the two of us would be alone. Of course, I said yes!... and we celebrated the rest of the evening with a special dinner and champagne!
