Both Kieran and Aubree decided to join Bumble after moving to a new city. They matched in November of 2019. After quickly realizing they had many similarities (Barbados Family Ties, Key and Peele Jokes, Northern Ties), a first date was planned within a week at En Su Boca: a local Mexican cuisine restaurant. They ended up spending four hours at this restaurant, where Kieran revealed he was leaving for Canada for a business trip at the end of the week. So....they went on a second date the next night, a third date the night after that, a fourth date the night after that, and the rest was history. Kieran and Aubree went ring shopping in February 2022. While they discussed getting engaged within the next year, Kieran worked hard to make this a wonderful surprise. First, he drove 10 hours to her home on Long Island, NY to visit her late father at the cemetery. Then, he contacted a proposal planner and professional photographer to help him change one of the excursions Aubree planned for their June 2022 Aruba trip. While at a sunset picnic excursion, Kieran got down on one knee to pop the question during pictures that Aubree thought were being taken for their Instagram. Another special realization was that it was Father's Day, creating a new special representation of what this day would mean to Aubree. Of course she said yes! To make this moment even more special, Kieran was able to gather all their friends and family for a surprise engagement party the day after they returned from vacation. It was a beautifully executed proposal!
