Travel Note
Organized Transportation
We will arrange local transport to and from Pisa and Florence airports and the Lucca train station. Transportation to wedding events will also be provided.
Flight
Flights to Italy
The closest airport to the wedding venue is Pisa (PSA), which is about a 30-minute drive away. There are no direct flights to Pisa from the US, but there are plenty of easy connecting options through different European cities (London, Paris, Frankfurt, Lisbon, etc). The Florence Airport (FLR) is smaller than Pisa but also nearby, a little over 1 hour drive. Similarly, there are no direct flights from the US that go to Florence. If you prefer to fly direct to Italy from the US (or check out some different places while you’re in Italy!), Milan or Rome are your best bets. There are daily direct flights from NYC or other major hubs. Note: Make sure your passports are valid for at least 3 months from your departure date!
Train
Trains to Lucca
Traveling to Lucca by train is quite easy using the Trenitalia website (see website in English here: https://www.trenitalia.com/en). We also recommend downloading the app (also in English), which makes it very easy to purchase, manage, and check on train tickets and schedules. Trains to Lucca from Milan or Rome should take about 3-4 hours, depending on the train line.

Getting around by car
Uber/Lyft are NOT available in Italy. If you want to check out some nearby spots (see Things To Do), we recommend renting a car.
