What is Laurentide Farm?
Answer
Laurentide is the Ballesteros family farm, pictured above in a map drawn by Milwaukee artist Linda Bleck. The farm is located on the scenic Oconomowoc River at 5890 Monches Road in Colgate, Wisconsin. It has flower rows, gardens, a greenhouse, chickens, and more. We can't wait to see you there!

What airport do you recommend we fly in and out of?
Answer
We recommend flying in and out of Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport, which is approximately 40-45 minutes from Laurentide Farm by car. Another option is Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from the farm. O'Hare International Airport in Chicago is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes away.

Is there Uber/Lyft service in the area?
Answer
Uber/Lyft service in the area surrounding the farm is spotty and not guaranteed to be available. We recommend that guests who are flying in for the wedding rent a car at the airport or carpool with others to get to/from the airport and to/from the Saturday welcome event.
Question
Where is the Saturday night welcome party?
Answer
The Saturday night welcome party will take place at 8:00 pm at Smoke on the Water BBQ in Okauchee. Parking at Smoke on the Water is located at the old school across the street from the restaurant.

Will there be transportation to and from the wedding venue and hotels?
Answer
Yes. Shuttles will run regularly to and from Laurentide Farm and the hotels on the day of the wedding. Please click the "Shuttles" tab above to see the shuttle schedule. We recommend that guests use the shuttle service provided or plan to drive to the venue, as Uber/Lyft service in the area is extremely limited.

Will there be parking at the wedding venue?
Answer
Yes. Parking is available one of the farm's lower pastures. The parking area will be marked with balloons on the fenceposts and black/white flags in the field. To reach the parking lot, please do not drive up the farm driveway. Instead, from the farm driveway, head east on Monches Road until you see the balloons marking the entrance to the parking area. PLEASE NOTE: Monches Road is currently under construction. You may ignore any "Road Closed" signs and continue on to the wedding venue.

What is the recommended attire for the wedding day?
Answer
We recommend semi-formal or cocktail attire. Floral patterns are encouraged but not required. Stilettos not recommended. Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony will take place outside – so do check the weather and consider sunblock, sunglasses, bug spray, etc.! Please also consider bringing an extra layer for the cool nighttime air.
