My family moved to Alabama and I attended Shades Valley High School for my junior year. I remember seeing Atoyia in the hallway at school but I couldn't talk to her...lol I didn't know how to approach her. One night after a SVHS football game I rode with my big homie Stephen to Taco Bell. Atoyia and some of her friends were already there. I decided to go talk to her and ask her for her number. But, she told me I had to talk to her mother first...lol. So I did and the rest is history.

While I was in the lunchroom I saw a tall and slender new guy at SVHS my junior year. He sat all alone and I noticed that he seemed very different from the other guys at school. This peaked my interest but I was too shy to ever approach anyone so I didn't say anything then. After our meeting at Taco Bell Charles did ask my mother for my number as well as if he could date me. Over the years we kept in contact even though we were doing our own things in life. After 20 plus years we were both single so I finally decided to give Charles and I a true shot. We went on our first OFFICIAL date in January 2022 got engaged on April 23, 2022 and thus we are here today :-) Let's just say our date went very well :-)
