Love is Patient ...So let's try this again

For two years, Dana‘s friend Lisa kept suggesting she meet her husband Paul’s colleague, Nick. Finally somewhere around 2:30 am on Boxing Day 2013, the die was cast as Dana sent him a Facebook friend request! Nick, who was busy assembling a 2000 piece Lego when he awoke with then 6 year-old Gavin, was intrigued by the friend request and Dana‘s note. Sarcastic British & American banter ensued and they began a full on “relationship” via text, email and late-night telephone calls (for 9 days and nights they exhausted Nick’s rollover minutes and wrote more texts and emails than one could imagine). Twas one of the worst winters ever with constant snowstorms that prevented them from meeting in person. They rang in the new year together on the telephone in a 6 hour marathon wherein Nick promised Dana that 2014 was FINALLY going to be her year and full of magic! As usual, he was the king of understatement ♥️ Their first date (& the first time they actually met!) was January 3rd 2014 and they’ve never looked back! They’ve made a beautiful life together in the woods of Silvermine, CT with the most precious doggies, Chaplin and Loki and of course sweet Gavin. At their 2018 Boxing Day party, exactly 5 years after the infamous FB friend request, Nick fell to his knee in their home filled with their closest friends and family and popped the question she had already answered years ago when he first asked.
