What is the closest airport to the city?

Answer

Ronald Reagan (DCA). Highly recommended for all domestic flights and some international flights that do fly into it. I personally wouldn’t recommend BWI despite low fares because it’s 1) too far and 2) flights often get delayed / cancelled.

Best way to get to DC from New York?

Answer

If you book ahead, would definitely recommend the Amtrak coming into Union Station. For last minute travelers, there’s always Greyhound.
