FAQs

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We recommend staying at the Atheneum Suites Hotel in Detroit within our room block. You can find more information on this in the "Accommodations" tab of our website.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would like to keep our guest list limited to those who know us best. The name of each guest invited will be listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This wedding is an adults-only event with the exception of the kids in our wedding party.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! Our dress code is Formal/Black Tie Optional for our wedding day. Please be aware that our ceremony will be outdoors and will take place late enough in the day when it is cooler. Ladies can wear floor-length or midi formal dresses. Gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or tuxedo. No jeans, shorts, short sleeves, sneakers, white/cream dresses, or the color red, please.

Question

Can I take photos and videos throughout the ceremony?

Answer

In order to ensure we are all fully present, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We request that you turn off/silence all phones during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture this special moment and we would be happy to send you any pictures and videos upon request! During cocktail hour and reception, please feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you would like!

Question

Where will the ceremony and reception be?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outside at The War Memorial! No need to travel in between. The reception will take place indoors at the same property.
