Their story is one for the books. A typical year at IUPUI was anything but the ordinary when Grant was assigned as Rebekah's freshman year RA. Not only that, but he was also Rebekah's physiology course mentor, so they saw a lot of each other. As the year went on, they spoke more and Grant realized that Rebekah was someone he was interested in. After the school year was over and he was no longer an official RA, Grant decided to shoot his shot and contact Rebekah. From that point on, they have become inseparable.

On May 13th, 2021, Grant was soon to be a college graduate. Because of this, he devised a plan with Rebekah's closest friends (her maids of honor) to create the ultimate engagement. What a perfect way to get Rebekah to dress nice and be photographed than staging graduation photos of them both. With the ring in his pocket, they smiled and awed as they were being photographed. During the last picture under a beautiful amphitheater, Grant got down on one knee and asked Rebekah to spend the rest of their lives together.
