THERE IS TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY: Her side: We met in the fall of 2004 during my freshman year and his sophomore year. We lived in the same neighborhood in Eagan where we first initially met. I have to admit when I first saw him it was "like-at-first-site" but in the back of my head I thought maybe I should stay clear of somebody who is from over south who wears their pants below their butt. Of course being young I did not listen to my thoughts and told a couple of our mutual friends that I liked the new boy(Tyree). It was possible that Tyree felt the same way because after a few months we started "dating." Sixteen years later we are here!! His side: I first met her on the school bus in 2004. I was the new kid in the area at the time and I was just starting to open up to some of the kids in the neighborhood and Brittany happened to be one of them. We started off as cool partners, then one day a mutual friend of ours told me that Brittany was digging me. At first I thought it was just a joke but it wasn't. Eventually we started dating, and now 16 years later with two kids we are still rocking.
It was Brittany's birthday weekend and she had a weekend full of fun planned with friends and family including some cousins from out of town. On the day of the proposal she had a casual dinner planned at one of her favorite restaurants but what she did not know was that Tyree had something more than just a casual dinner planned. Tyree had the waiter bring out cake and arranged for a friend to sing happy birthday to her. After finishing the birthday song the singer began to sing Jagged Edge "Let's Get Married." Tyree got on one knee and asked Brittany would she marry him. She instantly started crying and said "yes!"
