Maid of Honor
Eidit and I first met back in the early 2000s at the legendary Juraz Pizza in Turlock. I was a bit older, and we had mutual friends, but what really sparked our connection was a bracelet I was wearing that said “dream.” Eidit said she liked it, so I took it off and gave it to her—something small that ended up meaning a lot. Life took us in different directions for a while; she moved to Southern California, and we didn’t see each other for years. Then, in 2011, fate stepped in. I reached out while looking for a place in Berkeley—turns out she had just moved there too! We instantly clicked, and before long, I was living just down the street. That’s when I found out she had kept the “dream” bracelet all these years. From then on, we became inseparable, calling ourselves the “Dream Sisters.” We laugh endlessly, love to travel, and have built a friendship that’s as deep as it is joyful. I’m so lucky to have her by my side.
Best Man
Chris and Zak's friendship is the kind you rarely find—lifelong, unshakable, and full of history. They grew up just across the street from each other in Marysville, and to this day, Zak and Chri's parents still live on that same street, keeping the roots of their bond strong. From childhood adventures to adult milestones, they’ve been by each other’s side through it all. Whether it was school days, family gatherings, career changes, or major life moments, Chris and ZK have shared every chapter of their lives together. Having ZK as his best man isn’t just a tradition—it’s a testament to a friendship built on years of loyalty, laughter, and brotherhood.
Bridesmaid
Isela and I actually went to the same high school in Turlock, though she was a bit older and we never really hung out—we didn’t have mutual friends, but we knew of each other in passing. Fast forward to 2005, and fate brought us back together in the most unexpected way: we were both pursuing our Master’s degrees at Cal State Stanislaus and ended up in the same program—the same cohort, actually, that Chris (yep, the groom!) was also part of. When the program continued abroad in Paris, Isela and I chose to be roommates—and that’s when everything changed. Living together in Paris, we instantly clicked and became completely inseparable. From that point on, we’ve been best friends and “adventure buddies,” always planning our next trip and bonding over new foods and spontaneous fun. She’s been part of my life, my travels, and even my love story—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Groomsman
Matt and Chris go way back—to the days of elementary school, where they first met. Chris was two grades ahead, but that didn’t stop a lasting friendship from forming. Funny enough, it was the same school that Zak attended too, so their circle has been connected since the very beginning. Over the years, Matt and Chris have remained best friends, standing by each other through life’s biggest milestones. Even now, with Matt living in Austin, Texas, their bond hasn’t skipped a beat—they still text every single day and have a running tradition of sharing their Wordle results (yes, it’s serious business!). Their friendship is proof that distance means nothing when someone is truly part of your heart.
Flower Girl
Our beautiful flower girl, Layla—who we all lovingly call LuLu—is my goddaughter and the daughter of my first cousin Ben, who’s more like a brother to me, and his amazing wife Rosie, who’s not only one of my closest friends but truly like a sister to our whole family. Layla is the smartest, funniest, and kindest little soul you’ll ever meet. She lights up every room with her bright energy and big heart, and we are beyond excited to have her be part of our special day. Watching her walk down the aisle will be one of the sweetest moments for us—and I already know she’s going to steal the show!
Ring Bearer
Eli, our adorable ring bearer, is my godson and the son of my childhood best friend, Halin, and her husband Ray—who, fun fact, was also my neighbor growing up! Eli is one of the funniest, most clever kids I know, always keeping us laughing with his quick wit and bright personality. It means so much to have him be part of this day, especially walking down the aisle alongside my goddaughter Layla, his friend and partner in cuteness. We can’t wait to see them together—it's going to be a moment to remember!
