We're getting married!!!

Mabuhay! Our story began in June 2022 at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. Terence went to the Day Trip Festival with friends Feder and Monica. After getting some fish bowls, Monica said “Hey, let’s go meet-up with my co-workers”. As it turns out, Atalie and Monica worked together. They were briefly introduced to one another, exchanging pleasantries before going their separate ways. However, as Terence recalls, as soon as he laid eyes on Atalie, he knew his life was about to change forever. A few days later, Terence slid into her DM’s. Atalie, although blushing and filled with butterflies, read his messages but didn’t always respond right away (this is what we call “getting left on read”), until Terence told her about how a big spider invaded his car and completely took it over. She thought it was funny. He thought it was terrifying. But, Terence knew one thing: He had her attention. After several more messages, Terence finally mustered up the courage to ask her on a date. She said yes. The date was July 22, 2022 – their first date. Terence picked Atalie up from her condo. From there, they went to a sushi restaurant. After a couple sake shots, they ended up across the street at Avalon. The night was going so well that neither of them wanted it to end, so Terence asked Atalie if she wanted to go to an afters. She said she was down. It was at that moment he knew she was a keeper. Their relationship took another step, a huge one actually, when Atalie introduced Terence to her daughter Alyssa and son Xian. They quickly formed a strong bond with Terence, who knew that his future was not just with Atalie, but also with Alyssa and Xian. Dinner for two was now dinner for four. Or so they thought. Enter Maxx - an overly hyper, goofy yet loving and adorable goldendoodle. Atalie and Terence truly believe that Maxx was the piece that turned the four of them into a 5amily. Fast forward to June 20, 2024. It was a Thursday afternoon. Atalie was on her way home from work. Months prior, Terence had asked Atalie’s parents for permission to marry their daughter. But, he still needed permission from two more people – Alyssa and Xian. He gathered them around the living room table and told them of his plans, much to their excitement. They even helped with planning the proposal. Two days later, under a full moon near the cliffs of Rancho Palos Verdes, Terence got on one knee and popped the question, “Will you marry me?”. She said yes. We could not be more thrilled for this next chapter of our life together, and we are so excited to celebrate our love with family and friends on November 8, 2025.
