FAQs

Question

What is the most recent update on your wedding date and COVID restrictions?

Answer

Due to current event restrictions in Orleans Parish, we are only allowed to have 25 guests in attendance at this time. This will be our immediate family + grandparents + wedding party. In light of this, we have turned off the RSVP feature. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at 318-588-1918 (Arash) or 337-412-5325 (Lauren).

Question

What COVID safety precautions will you be following at the wedding?

Answer

We will continue to update this page as frequently as we have new information for guests. All guests will be required to wear masks when not eating. Social distancing will be required, and guests will be encouraged to sit with their household at dinner.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

We recommend cocktail attire and your dancing shoes!

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

We have reserved spaces in the parking lot for the church across the street. Street parking is also free in the Bywater neighborhood. If you plan to enjoy drinks at our open bar, we recommend Uber or Lyft!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We're walking down the aisle at 6:30 PM, so please be in your seat by 6:15 PM.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held on the roof deck of Capulet. Cocktail hour and the reception will take place downstairs in the reception space.

Question

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

After the ceremony, hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served. The buffet will begin after our first dance and we will have several different types of food. Please let us know if you have allergies or dietary restrictions!

Question

Will alcohol be served at the reception?

Answer

We will have an open bar at the reception. We recommend Uber or Lyft if you plan in partaking in the fun!

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Please do! Our photographer will be capturing every moment, but feel free to post with the hashtag #ataeitheknot! However, we ask that during the ceremony you refrain from taking photos or videos and enjoy the moment with us.

Question

Will there be any religious or Iranian traditions at your wedding?

Answer

We are saying our vows in English and in Farsi, Arash's first language. We will provide a translation so you can follow along! We will also have a sofreh aghd, which is a traditional Iranian marriage spread. Be sure to check it out at the reception!
