The Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Jennie Lee Amelia Meltzer and Davey Jonathan Wood Hancock
In New York, “family” is earned. It’s not about blood — it’s about who shows up. The ones who keep you steady when everything’s falling apart. Who answers the phone, the door, the panic texts. Who’ve seen the worst nights and still love you in the morning. Here, family looks like shared rent, shared grief, shared dreams on the fire escape. It’s people who hold your hand when there’s no script, no plan, no money — just love and choice. It’s the ones who held Jennie through the lowest points of her life and never let go. The ones who’ve called Davey their brother for twenty years — not out of habit, but out of loyalty and lived-in trust. These aren’t just friends. They are our constants— our co-survivors. The people who held us up when no one else could. They hold us together like glue when everything falls apart. They are the ones who didn’t flinch. They're the ones who stayed. Our bridal party is our second family. So without further ado... meet our ʻohana.

Courtney Beczo

Maid of Honor

The Bride’s Older Cousin / Sister / Best Friend Jennie and Courtney were what they lovingly refer to as “communed” together since birth. Growing up in dance school, they were chosen at just 8 and 12 years old to help launch their company’s first-ever competitive teams, and from that moment on, they were (both figuratively and literally, in some cases) attached at the hip. They spent 20+ hours a week in the studio until Courtney graduated high school. Once she left, Jennie realized she hadn’t lost her love of performing — she just couldn’t stand doing it without Courtney. So she stepped away, eventually becoming a certified Sesame Workshop puppeteer and Make-A-Wish performer for Sesame Place and Elmo’s World Live! (Yes, really.) That step would become the key that led her to her dream role as a Disney cast member… and, eight years later, to meeting her future husband. So in a way, if Courtney hadn’t stepped away from the studio, Jennie and Davey might never have found each other. Turns out, all it took was a little faith, trust, and… a cousin. It’s only fitting that Courtney now stands beside Jennie as Maid of Honor — a title she’s held in spirit since they were little girls. She’s Jennie’s built-in bodyguard, lifelong hype woman, and the only one with the grace (and guts) to lovingly keep Mom in check when needed. FUN FACT: The family often calls her “Marge” or “Margie,” though no one remembers how it started — and at this point, we’re all too afraid to ask.

Heather Tatro

Maid of Honor

The Couple's Greatest Blessing Davey and Jennie met Heather in a pretty unconventional way—she was Davey's boss. He joined the Marvin's Magic team at FAO Schwarz in September 2022, and wanting to impress, he invited Jennie to their holiday party that November to read tarot for his coworkers—since Jennie owns her own tarot business. Jennie dressed up, cards in hand, ready to meet the team. Reading after reading passed uneventfully—until Heather. Jennie saw something rare in her spread: a deep-rooted kindness, fierce loyalty, and unconditional love—not given freely, but earned. Heather was a protector, a fighter, and a soul who loves hard. Jennie knew right then that Heather would become their chosen family. When Heather left FAO for Hadestown on Broadway, she finally got to be both their friend instead of Jennie's friend and Davey's boss. And that’s when the real fun began! In true theater-kid fashion, Heather helped Davey stage-manage Jennie’s dream proposal—planning every detail from props to playlists to hair and makeup. She even had custom busts made for them that were so sacred and detailed, the couple insisted that they needed to be on the altar at the wedding! There’s no one more worthy of the title. Heather shares the honor of Maid of Honor, a role she’s more than earned. She is cherished for her level head, blazing fire, golden heart, and the fact that she’s earned their blind trust. Davey and Jennie know this powerful woman will be in their lives forever.

Billy Meltzer

Bridesman

The Bride’s Baby Brother and Best Friend Billy and Jennie have gone their entire lives without so much as a single disagreement — a bond built on mutual respect, perfectly timed sarcasm, inside jokes, and the kind of unspoken understanding only siblings like them could ever hope to have. He’s not just Jennie’s baby brother — he’s her favorite human, her safe place, and the person who can make her laugh no matter what. Whether it’s through a ridiculous impression, some outlandish story being shared during phone calls on a long commute, a spontaneous Phineas and Ferb quote (delivered at lightning speed), or simply walking into a room with his signature greeting, “SISTER!!!”- he is joy personified. Billy is currently studying Environmental Science at Rutgers University with one mission: to dedicate his life to saving the oceans. His compassion and gentility run deep. His love for the planet is matched only by his love for family, the woman he loves, Diya, and, of course, soccer. In his spare time, Billy collects soccer scarves from teams around the world, slowly kills the Duolingo bird by ignoring his daily Dutch lessons, and fully embraces his (very well-earned) status as the family golden child. FUN FACT: Much like Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory, Billy has memorized every national flag on Earth and can identify them instantly. He can unironically keep up during “Fun With Flags”. He serves as the family's human search engine whenever we're on Embassy Row.

Danielle Miccio McNee

Bridesmaid

The Bride’s Best Friend By Some Kind of Energetic Force Jennie and Danielle’s friendship has always defied logic — and geography. No matter how far life pulled them apart, the universe seemed determined to push them right back together. From (quite literally) bumping into each other on a Christmas cruise in the Bahamas, to a surreal Vegas run-in where Jennie unknowingly sat beneath Danielle as she took a photo on the floor above — a photo that popped up on Jennie’s Instagram the next morning and nearly gave Davey a heart attack — to Danielle getting engaged and at Disney and sending Jennie a picture of the ring just 15 minutes before Jennie checked into her flight there, their paths always seem to collide in the most serendipitous ways. Jennie even officiated Danielle’s wedding in 2024, a moment neither of them could’ve predicted when they first met in college. Through all of life’s twists and turns, Danielle became more than a best friend — she’s chosen family. The kind who shows up without question, stays through every season, finds you a free pair of vintage designer shoes in your size at an estate sale, and makes even the darkest days feel brighter. Jennie is saved in Danielle’s phone as “Professional Yapper Extraordinaire,” because they talk on the phone an average of 12ish hours a day. She even joins Jennie’s lunch breaks via FaceTime daily. Danielle is her ride-or-die, psychotic Disney junkie, and soulmate for life. Apparently, they really don’t have a choice.
