FAQs

Question

RSVP?

Answer

Through the QR code on the back of our invitation you and your party can RSVP. It then takes you to another tab on this website to put your name(s). Please kindly do so by July the 28th.

Question

When should we plan to arrive/stay at the chateau?

Answer

Guests can arrive the day before the wedding (9/26) and stay until the Monday (9/29), checkout would be at 9am. We will be having a little welcome party & providing a light dinner that Friday evening (more details to follow). This makes this experience a whole weekend event spent at a French chateau with friends and family!

Question

How much is accommodation at the Chateau?

Answer

As previously mentioned, we rented out all five lovely properties on the wedding grounds so we please ask that all guests stay on site and kindly contribute 65 pounds per person for the weekend. Once you have RSVP'd, our American guests please contact Aspen, & British guests please contact Ethan for further details about your accommodation.

Question

What airport can we fly into?

Answer

There are a couple of options! The airport closest to the venue is within the town, called Bergerac International Airport. This airport is only a 15 minute drive from the venue! Unfortunately, our friends from California cannot fly direct from California into this airport, but an option is to fly into London and then fly straight into this airport. Additionally, if your party wishes to make a holiday and explore other parts of France there are many airports that your party could fly into and then travel down to Bergerac. The closest international airport that our California friends can get a direct flight into is Bordeaux, which is then about an hour drive from the venue. Of course, there is always the option to fly into Paris, some airports in Paris that you could get a direct flight from California are Charles De Gaulle (CDG) and Paris Orly Airport. Then from here it's about a 5-6 hour drive/train ride from Paris to Bergerac.

Question

What is the accommodation for food over the weekend?

Answer

On the Friday evening before the wedding we will be providing the guests with a light meal for dinner (more details to follow). If you have any allergies/intolerances please let us know as soon as possible. Aside from this evening and the wedding day on the 27th of September, guests can expect to provide their own food for the weekend. Each property has a fully functioning kitchen where guests can store food from local grocery stores and cook it on site, or they have the option of lovely restaurants and cafés less than a 10 minute drive away.

Question

Would you recommend renting a car for our stay?

Answer

Bergerac's airport is about a 15 minute drive away from the chateau, and because Bergerac is a smaller village there is not a lot of public transport available. We would recommend getting a rental car for your family as it will be easier to get to different nearby villages throughout the weekend and do some sight-seeing during your stay. Additionally, the properties on the wedding grounds are about a 3 minute drive from the main chateau where the wedding will be held so it will be easiest to carpool/drive the day of. Rental cars are very affordable through Bergerac's International Airport.
