We cannot thank you all enough for the love and support that has been offered to us these past few months. Between changing dates and changing venues, our families and friends have followed us through every step of the way! We will both be forever thankful to have people like you to share our lives with. ♥
Alex and I had planned a trip to Toronto a few months in advance. We were going to a concert on a beach, all reservations for the hotels were made, excursions were planned. We got out of work at 7am on Friday May 23rd, 2017, we were scheduled to leave that night for our trip. I had to do some chores before we left, then take a nap and hit the road for another unforgettable weekend. While I was putting dishes away Alex yelled from the other room and asked me to help him find the keys. There he was. ON ONE KNEE. He's confessing the love that had grown in such a small amount of time and that he wants to spend the rest of his life committed to "us." Talk about a dream come true! (Not to mention my stunning ring that he fully designed himself-I'm so proud of it and him) I jump up and down and said "YES" as many times as I could! We had to take a short nap before we started our trip though so the excitement had to calm down for a few hours. LITTLE DID WE KNOW that Alex would wake up two hours after napping saying he needs to go to the hospital. Alex had to get his appendix removed right then. So while we were calling our parents letting them know that he needed surgery in a few short hours we were also telling them about our engagement!! He told me he was originally going to propose while we were on the trip but he "just couldn't wait any longer." He also made it a point to say that if he did wait and still ended up in the hospital that day he would have done it on the hospital bed! I will NEVER forget the day Alex got his appendix removed♥
