Ryan and I orginally met through Scott near the end of middle school beginning of high school. We were friendly towards one another over the years but never really got to know each other deeply. We stayed connected through facebook and our mutual friends. It wasn’t till three years ago our good friend’s Tiffani and John Brownie were getting married. Both of us were invited for the bachelorette & bachelor weekend in Vegas. Ryan messaged me on facebook asking if I wanted to fly out to Vegas together. I instantly was happy to hear from him and knew that I liked that idea and agreed. He then asked if I liked to go wine tasting and that it would be nice to catch up before going to Vegas. Our first date... Was at Clos LaChance Winery. It was a gorgeous saturday afternoon in May. Ryan picked me up in his blue acura. Right away I told him how much I like his car cause of the color. It was one of the many things we found we had in common that day. Our conversation was easy we talked about what we do for work, how much our family means to us, where we wanted to travel, and about trips that were taken. We both felt this was something special and could see a relationship with one another. But we took it slow due to both of us having bad relationships in the past. On June 24, 2017 After we had spent many weekends going on dates and getting to know more and more about each other. Ryan decided that day to make it offical and asked me to be his girlfriend. Who wouldn’t say yes to that handsome smile. Almost three years later and our love for each other contiues to grow!
Ryan and I had joked about getting married about a year ago or so. I had told him we needed to wait till after we both turned thirty. On Saturday September 28, 2019 while everyone else in town was at the taste of Morgan Hill. A local music and food festival. Ryan and I had our shifts at Clos LaChance Winery. It was a beautiful day out so Ryan suggested we take a walk around the property and “Take Pictures of us”. As we were look over Cordevalle Golf course I turned to go back inside as we needed to get back to work. Suddenly I hear Ryan behide me say “ok I’m doing this.” He drop to one knee and asked “Asiria Carrol McKenzie-Galaviz will you marry me?”. At first I didn’t think he was serious I even asked if he was serious. Then I saw the ring he was holding out to me in his hand. He laughed and said yes. As I started to put the beautiful ring on my left ring finger I answered his question with a yes absoutley yes. Laughing from joy we shared a kiss and hugged. We first shared the news with our family and friends. Then shared it with the world! That day we both laughed and smiled so much! It was perfect!
