Asiamay and AJ met on a dating app, Tinder, in December 2020 and quickly discovered they shared the same favorite restaurant—O’Doherty’s. It became the setting for their first date and remains their favorite date-night spot to this day. Through the journey of SERE and veterinary school, Asiamay and AJ have continuously encouraged one another to grow, supporting each other through both milestones and challenges. They endured three years of long-distance—over 4,000 miles apart with a 3–4 hour time difference—but together, they made it work. After a dinner date at O’Doherty’s, AJ proposed to Asiamay at Spokane Riverfront Park on March 8, 2025. The couple later celebrated with a small family ceremony on June 28, 2025. Now, Asiamay and AJ are excited to celebrate their marriage with all of their friends and family. After enjoying their first months of married life, they welcomed a cat named Puck, who has been an amazing and much-loved addition to their family.

We have an exciting update to share — in summer 2026, we’ll be moving to Okinawa, Japan (Kadena Air Base)! Our wedding day will not only be a celebration of our love, but also a special chance to spend time with all of you before we begin this next adventure together. We can’t think of a better way to kick off this new chapter than by celebrating with our favorite people.
