On December 29th, 2018, Asia walked into Inferno looking exactly how every girl dreams of looking when she meets her future husband: sweaty, icky, in the world’s most questionable outfit, and rocking a durag, as one should... She and her best friend were just supposed to be setting up for the birthday party — just them, or so she thought. Instead, they opened the door and stepped into a full audience of sports fans glued to a football game. Asia immediately wanted to reverse out the door. Imagine: her, in faded/who-knows-what attire, standing in front of a whole crowd she did not sign up for. She got to work, minding her business, completely unaware that somewhere at the far end of the bar, a pair of twinkling eyes had LOCKED onto her like a prince who somehow wandered into a sports bar. Asia didn’t notice at first — the decorations, time constraints and the overwhelming desire not to be perceived, kept her focused. People tried chatting with her, but she wasn’t in that frame of mind. Then she looked up and saw someone in a Brazil jacket and thought, “Okay, wait… he’s actually cute”, and then she carried on because she was not about to flirt while looking like a before photo. Next thing she knows, one of Zeiko's friends comes over and says, “My friend wants to get to know you.” And Asia — in all her glamorous glory — replied: “Can you tell him not right now, come back later, when the party starts?” (She truly believed he wouldn’t.) But… he did. He came back. He really came back. They stood at opposite ends of the bar doing that weird “pretend you’re not looking but you’re definitely looking” gesture. Then Zeiko sent her a shot through the bartender. Asia looked up and there he was pointing at her like, “Yep, that’s for you.” The universe clearly wasn’t going to let her hide, because eventually Zeiko came right up to her. Despite being tired (and probably having football the next day), he asked for her number. Asia gave it to him thinking, this is cute, but it’s definitely not going anywhere. Well… before the night even ended, he messaged her. And it turns out… it did go somewhere. Somewhere pretty magical. Because here they are — years later — getting married. The day that began with decorations and football, ended with two hearts quietly deciding on forever. Inferno? Yeah, that became the place where the spark lit their souls and the rest is history!
