Asia and Durrell met at Durrell's cousin, Justina's, wedding rehearsal. Asia and Justina were friends from church and after learning that Asia was starting out in wedding photography, Justina asked Asia to take her wedding photos. Durrell was one of her closest cousins and was asked to be one of the groomsmen. They connected the day of the wedding (also Durrell's birthday!) and the rest is history.

Durrell privately proposed to Asia on December 29, 2020. Surprising her on her way home from the store, Asia came home from shopping completely unsuspecting. She opened the door to her apartment, ready to put her shopping bags down - instead Durrell was on one knee 💍
