It's pretty difficult to pinpoint the exact moment we met, but we know for sure that the first time was definitely in high school. The "reconnection" is a bit easier to remember. Asia and a few of her friends went to Park at 14th in Washington, DC to celebrate her new job in New York City, she was moving to NYC in two weeks. Eric and his friend were at the same club celebrating the completion of their 1L year at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. They said "hi", shared a few laughs, and danced the night away.
Eric and Asia met for dinner after work for their regularly scheduled date night. They went to Gaonnuri, at the top of a New York City skyscraper overlooking Times Square. After their entreé, Eric and Asia shared their goals for 2020 and discussed all of the travel plans they had for the coming year. Dessert was served and next thing you know, Eric is on one knee asked Asia, "Will you marry me?" After the mild shock and minor hyperventilation, Asia said, "Yes, of course, I'll marry you!" They enjoyed a celebratory cocktail before heading to Times Square to mark the moment and FaceTime with family and friends to share the great news.
