Matron of Honor
No, this is not my twin sister, but she is my sister! We both think it's so funny how many people have thought this about us. Despite her being 4.5 years older, I take it as a compliment. She's beautiful! Needless to say, Kelly has known me the longest. My sister is loyal, protective, and someone I can laugh SO hard with. As my big sister, I've looked up to her my whole life, as she's set so many examples for me on how I want to live out my life. Our sister bond ties us in ways no one can understand, and she's quite possibly the only person in this world who can get all of my obscure movie and TV show references. She's not just my sister, but also my best friend. I'm honored to have her stand by my side on the biggest day of my life.
Best Man
Chris and I started hanging out in 5th grade with our parents dropping us off at each other's houses and we never looked back. No one has been by my side through more than Chris. We've been through bad haircuts, bad roommates, great trips, and almost 2 decades of laughs. Chris may have started college at Baylor, but I like to think his now wife, Melissa, and I convinced him to get to A&M as soon as he could. Once at A&M we were roommates till graduation. Chris always has been and always will be my best friend, rival in all competitions, sounding board, and brother. Please don't ask him for stories, he is always far too eager to share.
Bridesmaid
That's Caitlin with a C, not a K... I met Caitlin 10 years ago during our freshman year of college, and we've been best friends ever since. We were even roommates for a couple of years, so clearly our friendship can stand one of the biggest tests. If I could describe Caitlin in three words, they would be: easy-going, adventurous, and loyal. I can talk about everything and nothing with her for hours. She's the Kate Middleton to my Kate Middleton (yes, we are both Kate Middleton). She's one of my biggest fans, and would do anything for me, as I'd do anything for her. It means the world to me to have her stand by my side!
Groomsman
Chris is my current roommate and knows Lauren and I better than anyone else, since he's been here from day one. I love that one of my best friends is now just as much my friend as he is Lauren's. He's competitive enough to join in running challenges with Lauren and I (Lauren is undefeated) and is always down for our favorite meal from Velvet Taco, something the 3 of us have bonded over on countless nights. Chris left after high school for college, work, grad school, and more work far from Houston, but it never slowed down our friendship and eventually lead us to the opportunity to live together now. While Chris has so many successes in life, I will never let him forget the one day in High School I caddied for him in a golf tournament and he shot the best round of his life.
Bridesmaid
Emily and I first became friends back in college, but it wasn't until she moved to Houston a few years ago when we truly became so close. We were just two young, independent women, stylin', wilin', livin' it up in the city. If you were to google "hype girl", a photo of Emily would pop up (but please don't actually google this). She was there the night both Josh and I met, and she's been one of our biggest supporters ever since. At our wedding, you can find her leading the pack on the dance floor and probably surprising the crowd with her rap skills. Josh and I legitimately hope she gets control of the mic at some point that night.
Groomsman
Paul is my actual brother and though we are 10 years apart in age, we've become immensely close. It wasn't easy at first when he was 17 and going to college and I was 7 going to elementary school, but as I grew up, we grew closer. Now we bounce ideas off each other, talk about life, our futures, and our families, but above all else Paul has been the biggest mentor in my life. Paul has always been the man I aspired to be in so many aspects and I will always come to him for advice. I do have some advice for him though, don't lock your knees when you stand at the altar with Lauren and I, a lesson I learned from passing out during his wedding.
Bridesman
I met Tanner a few years ago through Emily, and we hit it off right away. It then became the three of us living it up in the city. I quickly came to realize that you couldn't hang out with Tanner and not have a good time. He's my go-to margarita buddy, the one that will sing Taylor Swift at karaoke with me (and perform a choreographed routine), and the friend I never knew I needed. I'm so excited to have Tanner be a part of my big day. Don't be surprised if we bust out our choreographed moves day of the wedding on the dance floor.
Groomsman
Aaron is the only groomsmen who didn't graduate from The Pride of Texas, Tomball High School, but I met him as soon as I could once I got to A&M. By the end of Freshmen year we were fast friends and travel buddies all over Texas and even New Mexico. I've attempted to catch more fish by Aaron's side than anyone else and our best memories consist of washer tournaments, fishing trips, and college football Saturday's. Add Aaron to the list of former roommates, as I lived with him on two separate occasions in Houston. Lauren and I are so lucky to have Aaron in our lives, there isn't a man out there more loyal and eager to serve others than him. In honor of his High School alma mater, Tivy Fight Never Dies!
Bridesmaid
Abbott is just a gem of a person and friend. She's beautiful, creative, and the most stylish person that I know! If I ever need some sort of advice (and not just fashion advice), she's the friend to go to. She speaks her mind and will do anything to be there for the ones she loves. I'm blessed to have a friend like her, who can always keep me laughing and remind me of what the important things in life are. She's the friend you always want in your corner, and I thank God she's in mine. I'm so happy to have her be a part of our big day!
Groomsman
Austin and I were friends in High School, but weren't best friends yet, till one day in Physics, we both realized we were already accepted to A&M and needed to fill out our on campus living forms. After a brief discussion, we agreed to be roommates the next year. That was one of the best decisions I ever made, now that Austin and I have been best friends for 10+ years. He may have left Houston for Michigan and now California, but if two days have gone by and Austin and I haven't caught up then something is off. No one is easier to talk to than Austin as I'm sure many of you will find out during the wedding! I'm so proud to have him by our side on our big day.
Bridesmaid
Funny story... I met Katie randomly about 5 or 6 years ago at a house party, and we hit it off right away. It was one of those feelings like you had known someone for years. But after that night, we actually wouldn't see each other again until years later once I met Josh. Turns out, Josh and Katie have been friends since their freshman year of high school! Talk about a small world. By meeting Josh, I was reunited with Katie as we were all on the same flag football team! She has been an incredible friend to me and to Josh. She can dish out some of the best advice, and she's always down to have a good time. I'm so blessed by her friendship, and I'm so glad she's going to be a part of our wedding!
Groomsman
Evan is another proud member of the Tomball High School 2007 graduating class and one of my best friends of the last 15 years. Evan and I have played every sport under the sun together, but out of all of them, our time playing sand volleyball together is my favorite. The rapport we had was unmatched both off and on the court (though I yelled at him far more on the court) and it's Evan that I know I can always lean on. Evan and his wife Courtney are always the first to ask how Lauren and I are, and they have become some of our best and most loyal friends. Lauren and I can't wait to watch their family grow and have Evan by our side on our wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Avery has always been the life of the party. Ever since I met her our sophomore year of college, my life has been full of countless laughs and nothing short of a good time. She's an incredible friend who cares so deeply, and loves hard. We've been through so much together, including that time we were stranded at LaGuardia due to a snowstorm. We survived (and thrived). You'll only understand this feat if you've ever flown out of there. Avery can command the attention of a room, so don't be surprised if she leads the Aggie War Hymn at our wedding like she's a Yell Leader. Trust me, she has done this many times before, and I absolutely love her for it.
Groomsman
Jason wouldn't tell you, but one of his claims to fame is being voted 'Most Athletic' our senior year, while this normally isn't too impressive, we did graduate with Jimmy Butler who plays in the NBA. Our friendship was created on the fields, courts, during firework wars, game nights, and golf games and I wouldn't have it any other way. We may not play as many sports as we used to (or twister) but we still find time for nerdy game night every month to keep the competitive juices flowing. Jason is the best friend everyone needs, the one who never complains, listens to you, supports you through everything, and makes you a better person. He is all of those things to me and I wouldn't be who I am today without our friendship.
