Our Story

We first crossed paths at a Young Adults event through church, where we both ended up playing volleyball. It didn’t take long to notice we were equally competitive and quick to challenge each other on the court. What started as a few games and some light banter turned into a natural connection we didn’t expect at the time. That summer, we spent more time together—attending events, hanging out with friends, and challenging each other in everything from game nights to deep conversations. What started off as light-hearted competition slowly turned into a genuine friendship. We learned about each other’s quirks, passions, and dreams. We laughed a lot, grew in our faith, and found comfort in each other’s presence. As we both served in the youth ministry, our connection deepened. Working side by side, pouring into the lives of the next generation, gave us a new perspective—not just on ministry, but on each other. We saw one another’s hearts, character, and commitment to God. Somewhere between late-night planning sessions, worship nights, and spontaneous snack runs, we realized that this was more than friendship. We were falling in love. Though we joked and competed like teammates, we began to move through life more like partners. God used our time together in ministry, our shared values, and even our playful rivalry to show us that we were made for each other. Now, as we prepare for this next chapter, we look back with thankful hearts—grateful for a volleyball game that started it all, and for a God who brought two passionate, competitive, fun-loving souls together in the most unexpected, perfect way.
