Father of the Bride
“To my darling daughter, as we both know the steps to the garage or the porch is to hash out issues good, bad or indifferent, but the porch is the place you can sit and watch the clouds and rain. See the lightning. Hear the thunder, look into the woods on your thoughts because your words can never be taken back. I trust that TJ is and always will be a protector over you even though he is tagged as the son-in-law, I will always think of him as a son. And as you build a family too, I will be watching over all of you. I cannot be prouder of your and TJ's decision to enter into this long life endeavor. PS I will always be there, but need to know always on the porch.”
Father of the Groom
“When your whole world can't possibly get any better, it does. Have a new baseball buddy and our son is marrying her. Go Braves!!! P. S. Winnie-the-Pooh has a potty mouth.”
Officiant
Hello! My name is Tracy Payne and I am thrilled to have been asked to officiate the wedding of TJ and Ashton. TJ is the oldest nephew I “adopted” as my own when I met him as he was turning 13. From getting to watch some of the best videos of his early life, “Pa-Pa! I broke your door! I broke it on purpose!”, to hearing the stories of his Aunt Carrie saving him and Trevor from eating horrible, evil, disgusting vegetables that would surely have made them meet their early demise, I have found some of my greatest laughs. Some of my favorites were the “hunting” shows TJ and Josh put together that Carrie and I couldn’t wait to watch…hey, could you both do one of these for old-times sake? TJ, you are one of a kind and I love you (I love you so much!). Then, the BEST part, he met Ashton, then I got to meet Ashton. Let me tell you about Ashton. She is one of the kindest and real people I have met in a long time. I have such great respect for the work she does with kids. You see, ANY work with kids is hard, but her work is invaluable, and I had instant respect and love for her because she took on the tough stuff. Oh, and Frank! Frank, your mommy and daddy are getting married! So, watching these two decide to share their lives together is what love truly is…deciding to walk through it all...together! To be asked to officiate is an absolute honor. I look forward to their special day and I will be the one fighting back tears up there to help them make their special union official.
