Darius is the one who brought me into the brotherhood I’m lucky to call my closest friends today. From the start, he made me feel like I belonged, and ever since, he’s never given me a reason to doubt him and no matter how far apart we are, he’s always just one phone call away. Knowing him for half my life has shown me what a true friend really looks like: loyal, consistent, and always showing up. And honestly, if there’s one thing you can always count on besides his friendship, it’s that he has absolutely zero skip days at the gym.

Noa and I go all the way back to elementary school, which means we’ve witnessed every phase of each other’s lives. The good, the bad, and especially the embarrassing. From questionable outfits to even more questionable decisions, there’s really nothing we can hide from each other at this point. But through it all, Noa has always been one of the most strong-minded and kind-hearted people I know, with a natural ability to make anyone laugh. Whether we’re staying up way too late playing video games or just checking in on each other, we’ve always made sure we’re both doing good in life and to me, that’s the kind of friendship that lasts.

Even though we first met on PlayStation, he’s always been part of the same close circle, like we were meant to cross paths from the start. Even though he’ll swear up and down that he’s better than me at every video game, I think deep down he knows who’s really the best.

Demico and I have been friends since the first grade, and honestly, the saying “blood couldn’t make us closer” couldn’t be more true for us. We’ve gone through every stage of life side by side, elementary school, middle school, high school, and even ending up in the same college town. Not many people can say they’ve known someone for over 18 years and still be this close, and that means more to me than I can really put into words. He’s taught me a lot along the way, and he’s been there through it all, but somehow, after all these years, he still hasn’t taught me how to do a backflip.
